Old School Swatches

So today for Sunday Swatches, I thought I'd show you some of the 'Old School' swatches I've done. My nails were extra short, I didn't have a clue about lighting (well, maybe a clue, but not much of one!), and I hadn't started doing a different number of coats to show coverage yet. But I'll still share these pictures, because it's kinda fun to see how far I've come.

Pink Skittles?

Okay, so no, not all of my nails are pink today, but since I did skittles, and at least ONE nail is pink, I figured this would qualify for the Wednesday Pink post. Right?

I sure hope so. Because really, I don't wear pink on my fingers as often as I could, because there are SO MANY other colors I want to wear as well. Maybe if I had about ten hands I could get that many more pictures of pink polish. Hee. Anyway, let's go see the pictures.

I've Got More Pictures!

I'm all the way up to April, so I'm going to get these darn pictures posted so I can show off a little share these pictures. But first, I just want to tell you that June is Adopt A Shelter Cat Month! (Hey, it's also my birthday month, but who needs more birthdays?) I did a post over on my other blog, so if you're a cat person, then please, go check it out. How about some fun nail pictures?

With all the stress around here lately, you'd think I'd really want to get into pictures to distract myself, but I've mostly just been doing my nails quick and getting to bed. I spent a couple of hours installing hardware on the walls so that I could gate off separate areas of the house, and now the dogs can be kept totally apart while we figure out what else we can do. Worst case scenario? We have to keep them apart until Jessie goes to the Rainbow Bridge.

So anyway,let's get back to catching up on the pictures I've taken of my nails so far this year. We're done with January, so February, here we come!

Skittles! (But not the candy)

I have no idea who first came up with the term 'skittles' for doing your nails all in different colors, but it really fits (to me, at least). Especially if you use bright colors. It's also a great way to try out more than one color at a time to see how you like it.
