How Did Wednesday Get Here So Fast?

Wow, time is just flying by, maybe because I've been fairly busy. Not complaining, mind you, just noting. So yeah, it's Wednesday, and I'm sure you know what that means. Why yes, On Wednesdays We Wear Pink. Just click this picture if you'd like to go to the site and look at all the nail bloggers who participate in this one. Some every single week, some once in a while (I'm closer to the latter); regardless, it's a fun little thing to do.

So, today's color is another from Cult Nails of course. It's called Untamed, and it's very pink. Here's a small peek at it.

Can I just say that I really love this one? I know, I've said before I'm not a huge pink person when it comes to nail polish, but this is the kind of color that makes me say maybe I can be. And like all of the polishes from Maria, this too has a fantastic formula. I love polishing my nails with these, because by know I just know it's going to go on easily and smoothly, and look great, even if it's not a color I'd normally choose. Speaking of choosing colors, I just got my order of the most recent collection, and I must say, it's yet another home run. I'm going to have to have another Cult Nails fest very soon for this, and the top coats from the previous collection. That makes me happy. Anyway, I've got to get moving on chores, and so on, so let's jump to the pictures. There's a bonus at the end if you do!

Flashback!

This is going to be a short post, since I don't have a ton of pictures. That's because I wasn't as insane about polish back in the day. Riiiight. So I've got a bunch of pink and red comparisons to share with you. And I'd better hurry, I've got chores to get done! Here we go!

It's Wednesday, so we know what that means. Although today I did a bit of a switch with it, just because I can.

Well look at that, it's Wednesday again, and we all know what that means, right?

I had to hurry up and get this one edited, I'm running behind still, and don't wear pink as often as other colors, so I'm posting a little out of order too. That's okay though, right? I bet it is. So let's take a peek at the lovely peeeeeenk glitter I have to share!

Partly Pink

We all know what day it is, so I probably don't need to tell you that On Wednesdays We Wear Pink. But, in case you've forgotten, feel free to click the graphic and go find out about it. So why did I title this 'Partly Pink'? Well, it's another splatter mani, so it's only got a little pink in it, but I'm counting it anyway. Mostly because I don't happen to have worn just pink recently. I have SO many colors I love, and pink sometimes get forgotten about a little bit. Anyway, let's get to the pictures and go from there.

Sunday Swatches (Quick and Dirty Style)

So I haven't had as much time for nail polish as I have in the past, in part because of all the life drama crud that's been going on, and in part because the stress from said life drama has caused my skin to really get insane so I'm a lot slower at things and it takes me much longer to do my chores. In fact, I've had to start giving up a bit on having a perfect house, and just get done what I can. That is probably part of the reason that I haven't been changing my polish daily like I normally would, if I can barely get my chores done without falling over in exhaustion, adding a manicure in there just isn't gonna happen. But please don't think I'm whining (much haha), life could always be worse, and in general I know things will get better if I just keep plugging away.

So this week I set out to do some swatches, and because I've been rearranging things, I didn't have my normal spot to do my swatching, and had to change things up a little (but my OTT light is working! YAY!). Then after I finally managed to get the swatching in, photobucket decided to be a pain my my rear and wouldn't let me upload the pictures for a day and a half! I thought about not having swatches this week at all, because my skin flaring up so much makes my cuticles look pretty awful, no matter how many times I rub all sorts of creams and oils into them. In the end, I decided that if you don't like my raggedy cuticles, then just don't look at my swatches, and we'll all be happier. After all, the whole 4-5 of you who read me all the time probably don't care about it, the others who read me sometimes are probably only interested in the pictures, and the rest of the world doesn't care one way or the other. And that's okay with me, because I'm not looking to be the next hugely famous nail blog, there are already way better ones than mine out there.

Anyway, I'm starting to babble, so let's move on to the important stuff - THE POLISH! I had a few BYS shades that I haven't tried yet, so I thought I'd give those a quick test to see how they look, and share them with you. Let's see what we've got!

Sunday Swatches (Not Really)

Well, I haven't had much time for swatching lately, so I thought I'd share something else today. Instead I have a few bad pictures of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects strips that I wore for a few days. Let's get right to it, I've got a busy day tomorrow and need to get ready. What's going on, you ask? The Mate is having his nose rebroken so they can get his septum back where it is supposed to be. Yikes. It's a same day surgery, but still, I'm worried, and of course I'll be waiting right there to see that everything comes out okay. Anyway, let's move on to the pictures.

Pink Skittles?

Okay, so no, not all of my nails are pink today, but since I did skittles, and at least ONE nail is pink, I figured this would qualify for the Wednesday Pink post. Right?

I sure hope so. Because really, I don't wear pink on my fingers as often as I could, because there are SO MANY other colors I want to wear as well. Maybe if I had about ten hands I could get that many more pictures of pink polish. Hee. Anyway, let's go see the pictures.

Today's color is from Sally Hansen's Salon line, and it's not really as pink as it probably should be. Haha. But with a name like Cherry, Cherry, Bang, Bang!, it should be pink, right? At least I think so. Go ahead and look, and you can decide for yourself.

Last Challenge Day!

So, this is where we get to choose one day that we want to recreate. I thought this would be really hard to decide, but I liked the one I did for yesterday's post so much I decided to do that one again. In different colors. Heck yeah! And get this - I went with pink. Because I wanted to use my new pink glitter polish from The Hungry Asian called I Hate Pink. I got the glitters she was selling, and I love them so much! And then, just look how it happened to work out - just look at what today is!

It's Becoming A Pattern!

Well, more like I was inspired by a pattern, but who's keeping track of that kinda crap? Not me, that's for sure. So anyway, I was thinking that it would be nice to do something that I love, and I love stained glass. So I chose to be inspired by this pattern:
