I Have A Green Thumb!

And with that green thumb, I have a bunch of other green fingers too! In other words, today's Cult polish is Deal With It! and I just adore it. Here's a quick peek at it.

Cult Nails Extravaganza!

Because Cult Nails recently released Behind Closed Doors, I decided to nab the untried Cult Nails polishes that I have around, and use them! So the next couple weeks will feature lots of Maria's polishes, which is awesome to me, because I seriously love everything they've sold. Even though it means I'll be eating real cheap for the next couple weeks, I totally got this collection (I'm pretty much on a No-Buy since I haven't gotten paid since July!). I told The Mate it could count as my Christmas present. Anyway, I may be missing out on all the holiday collections this year, but I was NOT gonna miss out on this one, I haven't missed a Cult collection yet! I'm super lucky that without my income we can still manage what we need, and a few wants as well.

So, no whining about money, that's not what this blog is about. Here's a small preview picture of Feeling Froggy!

I love this color quite a bit, it's a gorgeous shimmery green that makes me happy. It's also close to the color of our lawn, which of course is not going to be green much longer with winter coming along. We had our first bit of snow yesterday, but of course it's all melted. I'm looking forward to more. I hope it's not as mild as last year. Alright, you're probably not here to listen to me babble, so let's get to the pictures. Click away if you want to see more.

Khloe Had A Million Sparkles

Today I've got a pretty fun mani that I really enjoyed putting on and wearing. I used two Nicole polishes for this, and it's a tape mani. I have to say, I'm kinda proud of how nicely this one turned out. Let's get right to it.

Today I'm sharing a polish that I got a while back in a swap with HappyBerryNaiad. She is an absolutely wonderful swapper, and spoiled me rotten. Plus, her nails are simply stunning. Anyhow, I've been drooling over this polish for a long time, so I was tickled pink when I got it in (should I say ON?) my hands. Jump on in and take a peek!

Partly Pink

We all know what day it is, so I probably don't need to tell you that On Wednesdays We Wear Pink. But, in case you've forgotten, feel free to click the graphic and go find out about it. So why did I title this 'Partly Pink'? Well, it's another splatter mani, so it's only got a little pink in it, but I'm counting it anyway. Mostly because I don't happen to have worn just pink recently. I have SO many colors I love, and pink sometimes get forgotten about a little bit. Anyway, let's get to the pictures and go from there.

Mystery Monday

Well, I obviously went with skipping Sunday Swatches, but I'm back today. I've got several manis that I simply cannot remember which polishes they are, so I thought I'd do a bit of a picture dump with them for you to see. Then tomorrow I can get back on track with regular manis which I've kept better track of. Hee. Let's see what we've got.

Greens Are Great

After yellow, green is one of my favorite nail polish colors. Oh, who am I kidding? I pretty much just love them all. Even the so-called ugly colors can be fun. As I've said many times, I'm kinda obsessed, just a tiny bit. Anyway, I've got a couple greens to share today, so let's get to it.

Sunday Swatches (Quick and Dirty Style)

So I haven't had as much time for nail polish as I have in the past, in part because of all the life drama crud that's been going on, and in part because the stress from said life drama has caused my skin to really get insane so I'm a lot slower at things and it takes me much longer to do my chores. In fact, I've had to start giving up a bit on having a perfect house, and just get done what I can. That is probably part of the reason that I haven't been changing my polish daily like I normally would, if I can barely get my chores done without falling over in exhaustion, adding a manicure in there just isn't gonna happen. But please don't think I'm whining (much haha), life could always be worse, and in general I know things will get better if I just keep plugging away.

So this week I set out to do some swatches, and because I've been rearranging things, I didn't have my normal spot to do my swatching, and had to change things up a little (but my OTT light is working! YAY!). Then after I finally managed to get the swatching in, photobucket decided to be a pain my my rear and wouldn't let me upload the pictures for a day and a half! I thought about not having swatches this week at all, because my skin flaring up so much makes my cuticles look pretty awful, no matter how many times I rub all sorts of creams and oils into them. In the end, I decided that if you don't like my raggedy cuticles, then just don't look at my swatches, and we'll all be happier. After all, the whole 4-5 of you who read me all the time probably don't care about it, the others who read me sometimes are probably only interested in the pictures, and the rest of the world doesn't care one way or the other. And that's okay with me, because I'm not looking to be the next hugely famous nail blog, there are already way better ones than mine out there.

Anyway, I'm starting to babble, so let's move on to the important stuff - THE POLISH! I had a few BYS shades that I haven't tried yet, so I thought I'd give those a quick test to see how they look, and share them with you. Let's see what we've got!

Thursday Twofer

Today I have two absolutely beautiful Pure Ice polishes to show you. I really like the Pure Ice brand, I find the quality is pretty decent, especially for the price. And they have some really beautiful colors. I'd love to see them extend their line even further, but I'll take what I can get, and be happy about it. Hee. Let's take a peek, shall we?

Pink Skittles?

Okay, so no, not all of my nails are pink today, but since I did skittles, and at least ONE nail is pink, I figured this would qualify for the Wednesday Pink post. Right?

I sure hope so. Because really, I don't wear pink on my fingers as often as I could, because there are SO MANY other colors I want to wear as well. Maybe if I had about ten hands I could get that many more pictures of pink polish. Hee. Anyway, let's go see the pictures.

September Already?!

Wow, how the time does fly, amirite? I can't believe we've only got four months left in 2012. Or a little less than that to be here if you believe the whole Mayan calendar thing. I'm not going to worry about it, because it will either happen or it won't. I'm just going to live my life the best way I know how, and that's good enough for me.

Today is also the anniversary of the day I moved in with The Mate. Can you believe we've been living together for eleven years now? I'm more in love with him now than I was then, if that's possible. And I think it is. I'm certainly hoping for at least eleven more years, or eleventy billion more. Okay, I'll stop gushing about my guy, and get to the polish. Today I have an awesome green to share with you.

Creeping In To Post

I'm just starting to catch up with myself a little, and thought I'd maybe sneak in a post in hopes it would motivate me to do more posting. I have about a billion pictures I need to edit, have been busy busy busy, and my time is limited, but I miss blogging for the person who does read. Or maybe three people. Whatever. Haha. I'll skip right past all the yucky stuff that has gone on and try to keep it positive because I don't want to be depressing. Or depressed. In addition to still being fairly addicted to nail polish, I've gotten addicted to fishing. Like, pretty obsessed. It's fun, actually kinda good exercise (I've lost 15 pounds, and that's the only thing different I've been doing), and The Mate and I can do it together. I mean, sure, he could do nails with me, but he's not into it, and doesn't really care for colorful nails. Tee hee hee.

So between the fishing, and the working on the junk around the house, and the dogs, I've kept pretty busy. But I still paint up my fingernails all pretty on a regular basis, and I've tried to keep taking decent pictures of them. I just need to do a BUNCH of editing, and get to posting them! Speaking of posting, today I thought I'd share a nice China Glaze polish that I like quite a bit. The color reminds me of the vegetation in the lake where I've been fishing a lot lately (I'll reserve my silly fish pictures for the other blog), and it's name is Near Dark. Let's take a peek.
