Clouds and Mountains

Today I'm going to share an artsy mani that I did, trying to paint a picture of clouds and the moon around mountaintops. I didn't do too badly, but I can see what I need to change to do it better next time around. First, let's see the inspiration pics.

The moon. Not that I really needed a picture, but whatever, I had fun googling for images.

The clouds. I was going for the fluffy ones.

The mountain. I especially like the way the clouds are wrapped around the tip.

So, why don't we look at what I came up with?

Sunday Swatches - Maybellines

Well, technically it's still Sunday to me, even if it's after midnight. But until I go to sleep, it's still Sunday in my book. And I want to share the swatches of the lovely Maybelline colors I picked up a while back. So let's just get right to them!

Another Grey Polish

At this rate people will think I'm in love with grey polish! Okay, so I am, but not as much as yellow. But this is another pretty grey, and I figured I'd share.

China Glaze Sea Spray

Sea Spray on a Saturday sends me into spasms. Alliteration wheee! Okay, I'm being silly, but yeah, I have China Glaze Sea Spray for you today. I think it's a gorgeous color, and I'm glad I picked it up.

First Post Since Last Year!

Bwahahaha! I love saying that. Yeah, I'm not real mature sometimes. So anyway, I thought I'd schedule a couple posts today, so here are a few random polishes that I haven't shown you before but have used recently. Let's take a peek.

Something IMPORTANT!

Before I share my pictures for today (I'm up to Halloween - see what happens when you go missing for a while?), I've got something more serious to discuss/show you. It's about bullying. It's been in the news more and more, and it can happen to ANYbody. Over at Band Back Together, there is an Anti-Bullying Rally going on, and there are a LOT of stories being posted about experiences with bullies. If you are or have been bullied, are or have been a bully, or somebody you care about has been affected by bullying, stop on over and take a look around. The Band is taking a Stand and saying NO MORE.

And now, I'll shift back to nail polish, for those of you who only want to see that. As I said, I'm all the way up to Halloween (over a month late, go me! haha), and this year I didn't go all out as I have in the past. But I managed a few designs in amongst the regular polishing, so I'll share them now.

The last week of the year, I managed to do my nails a few times, even though we were pretty occupied with our new 'toys'. Take the leap and see what I did.

The WNW Color Craze Collection - Swatches

I gave in and bought the whole collection in the end, so I thought I'd swatch them together and show you what they look like. I'm still pretty disappointed that I couldn't get the other collection, the one with the islands and that I got NO response from WNW whatsoever. Such is life, I guess. Anyway, let's take a peek at these.

Ooh Look, Some Swatches!

I know, I know, it's about time, right? Yeah, I've been super busy with everything here. A couple random things that you may or may not care about:

Missy was in to the vet today because of her behavior changes recently. We did find hookworms, so all the critters are getting wormed. We're hoping that pain from that is what is causing her to be a snot, but if it isn't, I've also sent her blood into Hemolife for a full thyroid screen and other bloodwork. Thyroid issues are one of the first things to rule out in unexpected random aggression, and this would qualify as that. Luckily, she hasn't gotten truly mean or anything, just growly and cranky. And only with the dogs, which helps too.

The other thing is that with autumn coming on, and taking us to winter, we get more sore, and less sociable than we already are. Sometimes this leads to me having more time online, and others it takes away, as I struggle to get things done, and keep The Mate from falling any further into depression as his ability to get around is curtailed even more. So, if my posts get more scarce, that's why... and if I suddenly get logomania, that is explained as well.

Anyway, let's get to the swatches, so that you can see some color. I've got a pink collection from Claire's, and some of the fall Maybellines.

Let's Finish Off May.

With this post, I'll pretty much be caught up with pictures through May of this year, and can move ahead and try to post current pictures. It's a high pain day here, for both The Mate and I, so I'm struggling to work, and need to sit down for a while. I did have a lovely wrestling match with Krissie and Missy on the bed earlier, which never fails to make me smile.  I'll have to try and get better pictures of these goofy dogs, especially Jessie with her new cut n style. But let's take a look at the nail polish.

A Little Catch-Up

It's been a whole week since I posted anything at all. So I thought I'd throw some nail polish pictures up here while I upload the transport pictures I have. Between keeping the dogs apart to avoid damage (not going as well as expected), trying to do spring cleaning (also not going as well as expected), and my body and skin not cooperating... I'm just keeping my head above water. But, all in all, I'd still say my life is pretty good. And last night I did my toes in Cherry Pop, and my nails in Lemon Drops. So let's take a peek at the first half of April after the jump.

I'm totally on a roll, so I'm going to catch up some more before I leave on my transport for the day. Hopefully I will have good pictures of dogs to share later tonight. Or maybe tomorrow, as I get busy when I get home, catching up with the chores I haven't done yet.
