Blog Of The Day.

Okay, tonight's edition of Blog of the Day will be short and sweet, because I am B-U-S-Y.  And cranky and sore, but whatever. Anyway, I want to share with you, a lovely blog that impresses me tons, For Your Nails Only!

She has such AWESOME art on her nails (seriously I can't even come close!), and take great pictures, and is all around sweet, so she really deserves a post of her own. Let me show you some examples of what I mean by awesome artwork...We'll start with one that just took my breath away, and that I'd like to try someday.

iPaint - Well you can probably guess what this one is. It's adorable, and I'd rock it bigtime if I had that kind of artistic talent.

Let's Put A Smile On That Face.... - Jack-o-Lanterns on nails? That's unpossible! Except, it's not, and these are super impressive.

Blog Of The Day.

Well, in between all the other junk going on around here (and I'm not going to lay it all out, just say that I'm cranky and call it good), I'd like to have a moment of brightness, and today's Blog of the Day is one that can provide that, at least for me. Today I'm sharing with you Stories From The Stoop!

This blog is dear to me for a few reasons, and one of them is that she isn't a New York City native who is all blase about The City, but a transplant, much as I was when I lived there. (Though I moved to Da Bronx.) I also love it because she has such beautiful pictures, and wonderful evocative writing. I went through and re-read a lot of the blog today to pick out a few posts to feature. It was lovely.

Blog Of The Day.

Yes, it is that time again, time to see my choice for Blog of the Day. For the most part, I do just pick them at random, and this is really an exception to that, but it is one of THE BEST nail blogs out there, in my opinion. There are tons and tons of really good blogs, so this isn't mean to diminish them in any way, but y'all know there is always going to be some that just stand out for some people, and this is one of my stand-outs. Yeah, yeah, I know, just get to the blog already. Well, it's Lacquerized!

Her pictures are to die for, her layout is wonderful and easy to navigate, her nails are gorgeous, and she is an all around sweet person. What more could you ask for in a blogger? Not much that I can think of anyway. I know I say this ad nauseum, but it was really hard to pick and choose which posts to share today. It's just so rare that her posts are anything but informative and delightful to read, and if you like nail polish, I'd highly encourage you read everything she posts. But you know me, I've found a few that feature here!

Finish It Up - An awesome post about the different finishes of nail polish. I've thought of copying her and doing my own take on this, but it wouldn't be as good anyway. It's something to think about anyway.

Cruelty Free Nail Polish - For those of  you who are deeply concerned with animal testing, this post has a great list of the companies that make it a point to be cruelty free. Now, I'm not a huge fan of animal testing, though I think it's needed in some cases, just maybe not for the sake of beauty. 

Guilt-Free Glam: B3F FTW -  If you are concerned about the chemicals used in formulating nail polish, then this post is for you!

Michele really puts a LOT of effort into this blog, and it certainly shows. Blog Of The Day.

Ooh, earlier post on this one tonight! Mostly because I feel like I'm tired enough to try and nap, and that might turn into sleeping all night. Or, if I can't sleep at all, it'll turn into a posting fest and you'll have more posts to read from me tonight. Hey, either way, one of us wins. So, it's time to give you the Blog of the Day. Since I wasn't needed for the transport today (a couple of dogs were held back for health, and the rest were leaving the transport before my leg, so I saved my gas. I had intended to go ahead and take pictures of them (just meet at the transfer point and click away), but I was a terrible wreck at getting moving today, and didn't make it before they were ready to roll on. So I just took our dogs to the beach and went camera happy there. Hopefully it won't take me too long to upload the pictures, especially since I also have puppy pictures on there.

Oh yeah, this is my Blog of the Day post, not my random anything that runs through my head post. The blog I have to share today is a rescue blog. Y'all know by now that animals are near and dear to me, and anybody who does rescue is pretty much a friend just on that basis. It's not easy work, but it sure is needed. This brings me to the point where I tell you what the blog is. Hee. It's Daily Dose of Dogs (AKA Cats With Your Coffee). And man, oh man, it is really super extra hard to pick just a few posts on this one. But you know I did it anyway.

The Personality of a Miracle - words about Miracle, one of the lovely dogs that shares this home (not just lovely, but lucky too).

Queen Victoria - A lovely post about the kitty, Tory, that graces them with her presence.

Winnie's Wish - And this is the most important one, so if you're only going to look at one of them, than make it this one.

And if you're looking for a cat, this looks like somebody I'd adopt from. Ya know, if I weren't full, and pretty much in love with all the Grayson critters.

Blog Of The Day.

Well, well, I'm finally here to do this, and then move on to my 'Truth' post. And while I'm doing these, I'll paint my toes some bright pretty color (even though I am starting to wear shoes outside the house, because it's getting cold), and my nails with NARS MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!!! Yeah, I'm just a leeeetle bit excited about these, a few of them I've wanted *forever* or so it seems. I totally splurged on myself, and bought FIVE of them. Besides ME, I got Zulu (I have an original from my best friend, and just HAD to have a new one too!), Mash, Full Metal Jacket, Zizi and Purple Rain. And, in all fairness, I bought one for my best friend, who totally NEEDS to have a Zulu in her life. Even if she can't wear it right now (not gonna tell her secrets here).

Oh yeah, I was doing Blog of the Day, not OMGSQUEEPOLISH. I blame it on the delicious chicken I grilled tonight. Muahahaha. Anyway, today's blog is a really impressive nail blog. It's Frazzle and Aniplosih! She has BEAUTIFUL nails, takes GORGEOUS pictures, and is just... well, color me impressed, and just a tiny bit envious. Her blog is a thing of beauty, and her tagging system is tops (I've taken inspiration from that, in case you didn't notice). Way, way too hard to truly pick out just a few standout posts, but I will try anyway.


Wheel: Purple Cremes Mostly - Well, it's just what it sounds like pretty much. It is the premiere episode of Nail Wheel Wednesday!

Les Khakis de Chanel - I bet you already know what this post is about. And some great comparisons as well. (I think I am the only person on the planet who is completely not impressed with this collection at all.)

Pumpkin Polish - Every year at Halloween, these adorable pumpkin polishes show up around the area. Usually I pick some up, but this year I haven't bothered. I do have lots of glow in the dark colors tucked away in my stash though. Anyway, some great in the dark pictures - and I LOVE that she showed us swatches with 1, 2, 3, and 4 layers.. and then with like 9 layers.

I love this blog, the pictures are way awesome, and I can't see how one could NOT adore the dogs. It's hard to pick posts out when I would like to share them all, so I went kinda random this time.

I know I should be posting more stuff, but I have a 'lovely' (that would be a good place to use a sarcasm mark) new symptom, probably from the meds. Today, I'm so dizzy that I can't walk without holding onto the walls. Of course, this means that the dogs have only been out on short leashes in front, because I can't walk them out back. No chores have gotten done because I can't stand up well enough to do them. Me cook dinner? Yeah, not happening. So, let's think about things that are happy-making instead. Like, my Blog of the Day. Because I have a lovely nail polish blog to share with you (Have you noticed that animals and nail polish make up most of my happies?). Today I'm showcasing Lissa's Nails!

Her nails are lovely, her pictures are great, and in general it's just a nice blog. With SO many blogs out there, (and I'm working on finding them all too), it's not always easy to say that a blog is good, or nice, or lovely... because they all are, but there are always some that make you smile just a little more, and I guess this is one of those. So, as usual, I also picked out a few posts for you to see.

Funky French - I love this mani, and if I didn't hate the way my nails look with psoriasis, I'd probably do something like this a lot.

Well, it's that time again, time to present my Blog of the Day. I'm wondering if I should add some different features, and make it a blog of the week, so that it lasts longer. OMG I nearly missed my 'deadline'! It's been a heckuva day here, and though I got a lot done, I'm paying for it in spades. So, this will be very short and to the point. Today's Blog of the Day is Crystal Polish! This is one of my favorite nail blogs, not so much for the great pictures, and the lovely colors, but because Sarah and Jason work together on it, and I love seeing two opinions on each polish. It's great to see a guy's perspective anyway, because the ones I know just aren't into nail polish. And that's okay.

Again, this is a fly-by posting, in between the 9 million other things I'm doing today. First, we had to help The Oldest move, and then The Mate had a Dr. appointment, and I had to full scrips, and took the dogs to the dog park, and it's garbage night, and I wanted to stop at Sally Beauty and take advantage of my 20% off coupon (and dammit they didn't have all the Orly Cosmics) and I had to move furniture around, and we had phone calls to make and... well you get the idea. So anyway, I want to share a lovely nail blog with you, in the form of Also Known As!

She has a seriously awesome blog, and you can tell she truly loves nail polish when you read her posts. I love her honest refreshingly sweet reviews of polish (and she doesn't pull punches if a polish isn't a great one), and her pictures are DA BOMB! So if you love nail polish, you should definitely be reading her blog.

Totally hard to pick out favorite posts, like, harder than a lot, because there are SO many awesome ones. But, for you, I'll try. *long pause* Okay, I think I know which ones to share.

This is a fly-by post, because things have been hopping around here. Between my own lovely stuff, trying to pull the David Cook for Charity for Grayson Humane, and The Mate being in rough shape, I've been really busy.

Anyhoo, today's Blog of the Day is That is Priceless. Basically, it's art masterpieces, usually with captions that add some humor to them. I enjoy it because I do like seeing art, even if it's art that I normally might not like; and I like it because of the often funny things said.

I am not picking certain posts to share today, because art really is subjective, and what I like may not even be close to what you like. Of course, that could be true of every blog I post, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Anyway, I've also got to get the last of my chores done, so that maybe I can manage to post some swatches or NOTD pics for you later on. I mean, if I have to soak my feet anyway, I might as well be posting, right? Right.

Blog Of The Day.

I'm rather a wreck today, so I chose a pretty simple blog to feature. Today I bring you Agility Nerd! The easiest way to explain it is that it's a blog about dog agility, which is pretty much sports for dogs. Have you ever been flipping tv channels, and seen these dogs running an obstacle course and been impressed with their speed and such? That's agility.

Today I'm not going to pick and choose any specific posts for you to read. If you're not interested in agility, then you won't care anyway. If you are interested in agility, then you're going to want to devour the whole blog. So I'll let you decide where to read first, or how much to explore.

I'm in the process of uploading pictures from the weekend, so if I can stay awake long enough, I'll edit those and post them.

Blog Of The Day.

This will be a short and sweet post, even more than my usual short Blog of the Day posts. I've started new medications for my psoriasis, and one of them is so fatigue-inducing that I become virtually non-functional for up to a week while I get accustomed to it. I'll post more on that some other time though, as today I want to introduce Portrait of Mai to you.

She has a few makeup posts, some kinda random stuff, and lots of nail polish posts. As always, I sacrificed my time to find a few to feature for you. (Hee hee.)

Blog Of The Day.

Wooo! I'm home for the night, and I'm gonna do my Blog of the Day post and then decide whether to crawl in the tub for several hours or doze off in my chair only to awake several hours later with drool running down my chin and a crick in my neck. (It would seem like the bath is a better choice, but the dozing wins out pretty often somehow.) [Edited to add: For those of you who are curious as to what I chose... I did both, because I fell asleep in the tub.]

So, to keep bringing variety to your blog reading, I thought I'd choose a more humorous blog to share today. So, I thought I'd share with you ...by Jeff Tompkins (87% Fact-Free Blog)! I like the way he writes, I enjoy his sense of humor, and I like seeing his take on things, since he makes things just a bit more tolerable with with wit. This time, it was mega-hard to pick just a few posts to share, because it's rare that I don't laugh while reading his writing.

First, before I show off the Blog of the Day, I want people to know about a great project. 30 Bloggers, 30 Days, $30,000 is raising money to help fund water projects. This is a worthy cause, and I'm going to see if I can put some money in (I can sacrifice soda, coffee, etc to help people who need water).

I may not agree with everything said on the blog (I'm very much not a fan of Cesar Milan), but doing good things is doing good things, no matter if we agree on everything or not.
