Fund Our Fosters AKA HELP!

I've got an 8x8x8 fundraiser going. I'm asking everybody who can to give just $8, and/or share this with 8 people who might give, so that I can raise $888 to pay off my cat boarding bill. Over on the side there, to your right is a widget you can click on to see the fundraiser.

I'm also desperately seeking foster for any or all of the six cats. I have the dogs into foster care, so they are currently safe, but I'd like to be able to keep at least a couple of the cats if not all of them. However, I'm literally hanging on by a thin thread right now. Today would be my 12th anniversary, and one week from now it will be six months since The Mate passed. I just do not want to lose the animals that are pretty much my sole remaining link to him.

Taking A Chance

I said I wasn't going to do this, because nobody gives a rat's ass about me and my blog besides family, but I'm gonna go for it anyway. This has nothing to do with nail polish (although I could talk about it if requested), and everything to do with everything being pretty much a huge wreck in my life right now.

In a nutshell, my husband died, I lost my job both my vehicles are broken, my house burnt, my psoriasis is flaring up horribly, I can't pay my bills, I'm about to lose my pets, and I'm just barely hanging on by the tips of my fingers to a really frayed rope that's about to give out.

You can click the following flyer to be taken to a page that has much more detail, and where you can find the fundraiser, and the various social media platforms I've started to try and get the word out there and see if I can get some help.

Above and beyond funds, if anybody has alternative ideas or can offer up some kind of non-financial support, I'm welcoming it all. I've tried to see if there was a way to barter for work on my Jeep (the van will require a new engine, so I'm not even trying for that, the Jeep just needs transmission work). I've applied for job after job after job (I'm really only limited to not working in food service, although anything with a lot of walking and standing is probably going to be sorta rough). I've asked everybody I know if they or any friends or family can take in my pets, or some of them while I get situated somehow. In short, I can't think of anything else to do.

Basically, I'm just begging for help, and I don't know where else to turn.

I'm Doing A Happy Dance!

Why am I doing this happy dance thing? Well, because our fundraiser is a success! As you can see on the sidebar, $485 has been raised, and I'm MORE than happy to cover the balance, and maybe a bit more if needed for Valentino! This is so wonderful, and I canNOT thank the contributors enough! Not much makes me happier than being able to help in some way, and to know there are others out there just tickles me so much. It's so wonderful how people in the animal rescue community can team up and make a difference!

If you're of a mind to help, the next one I'm working on is Lily's eye surgery, and we may need a bit more for Valentino, so feel free to add a bit, but for now, I'm just celebrating that we can help this cat! In case you didn't know, I had all of my teeth removed almost two years ago because of severe problems with them, and that is why this struck such a chord in me.

So, let's give a round of applause to our generous contributors, and wish Valentino luck in his surgery!

Help A Kitty Out!

So if you know me, you know I'm into the kitties, and I like to help them. This particular kitty needs some dental work, and it's going to cost around $500 (vet's estimate). So, I'd like to try and help raise that amount, or maybe a bit more to help. I'm not sure how much I can give when I get paid tomorrow, but I'm going to plug all my spare into it, even if that's only $20. This poor beat up tomcat deserves so much more than to suffer, and the lovely lady who took him in shouldn't have to shoulder this burden alone. Let's take a peek at the pertinent info.

The post that kicked me into gear!

The video that might make you cry (Warning, there are some rather graphic parts in here).

The post I created for the ChipIn, on my other blog.

We've already got one generous contributor who donated $50... so let's see if we can get this done! One dollar, ten dollars - every little bit helps.

Editing to add: We're at $100, that's a fifth of the way, and with only two contributors! Also, I will be happy to provide whatever documentation needed to show once I make the payment as well. As long as I don't have to give my banking info out to somebody. Haha. And it occurs to me that with all the awesome people out there, we could raise more than what is needed. So if that happens, my plan would be to donate the surplus to Help Lily's cat have eye surgery.

Edit 2: Lookit, up to $145! I certainly hope we can get this done! Please, spread the word - if enough people can just give a dollar or five, we'll get there!

A Grayson Transport!

Okay, I said I'd be back with the transport for Grayson, and here I am! Not only do I have adorable puppy pictures, but stunningly cute kitty pictures as well! Let's jump right into it!

Transport Pics From 1-29

I hope I don't need to include the year on that date, since y'all probably know that it's this year. I'm not *that* far behind. Yet. Haha. I am still behind, but hopefully I'll be able to catch up eventually. So anyway, let's take a peek at the adorable dogs that went along for the ride that day.

"Emergency" transport and some of my pups!

Sometimes a rescued dog just doesn't work out, and has to go back from whence he came. This is one such situation, and we put together a transport in a few hours, in the opposite direction.

We need some doggies up in here!

I'm way behind, so I'm going to post a couple posts to catch up on transport pictures. This was the transport on the 8th of January (almost a month ago!). We were moving through what was almost a blizzard, but I still managed to get a few decent shots here and there. I hope you enjoy these!

Ack! A week!

I know, I know, I'm a bad blogger. Just make up whatever excuses you want for my lack of posting, it doesn't matter. But I'm finally starting to catch up again, and get these hundreds of pictures edited and ready. I've got a few transports to share, lots of nail polish pictures, and some of our own dogs. And I've entered Patches into the Bissell MVP contest, which would be awesome to do well in. I'd really love to see lots of votes for him if you have a minute once a day to vote. I'm going to enter one of our critters every week in hopes that one of them can win. If we won the grand prize, of course Grayson would benefit. There's SO much competition that I'm feeling rather hopeless about it. But, it's worth trying anyway! I'm getting babbly, but please, feel free to continue reading, and perhaps get a giggle out of it. And there will be a few pictures too.

First Transport Of The Year!

Of course, even with the holidays, I didn't abandon my transporting habit, and here are the dogs we helped out on New Year's Day. Take the leap and see them in all their glory.

Last Transport of the Year.

I completely forgot to make notes on the names, so this last batch of transported doggies will have to be pretty much anonymous. But they are still cute, and have still been sent to safety, so it's all good. Let's take a look.

Neat Giveaway and a Stray.

In all my cruising around the internet, I really do come across a lot of giveaways and such. Now, lately I've not been keeping up with them very well, but I'm going to try to start doing better, so here's one now. DO check out all the lovelies in this giveaway over at BeautyBurg!
Talk about starting the new year off with a BANG! You can pop over here to enter, and this runs until January 31st. Seriously? DO it. And good luck.

Bo The Wonder Saint!

Okay, since I sorta blew off coming back to the blog (but I have a REALLY good reason!), I'm finally going to show off pictures of Bocephus, the lovely Saint Bernard that I'm fostering for a month. Plus, a few pictures of our dogs, and transport pictures. If you wanna know why it took so long, you'll have to click and read.

The Third Transport

Well, besides the two transports on the 13th, I also did one on the 14th, this one for kitties. At the drop-off, I was able to spend a little time with the current kitties in rescue, and got some pretty good pictures.

I'm in a Posty Mood!

So, I've got a bunch of work to do, but while I wait for my meds to kick in, I'm going to post. I'm starting with last weekend's transports. I did three of them, although two coincided so that there wasn't any extra driving for that. Yay! Anyway, these are the pictures I got of the first. (Also, please, please spread the word and vote daily for Grayson's video so that they can win some money to help with expenses.)

Dogs, But Not Mine This Time! (Plus a Little Bit of Polish)

I only got a very few not so grand pictures on the 5th when I transported dogs. But, I'm still going to share them with you. And, I've got a quick comparison of OPI Mad As A Hatter, so you'll have to check it out if you want to see a reasonable facsimile of it. Let's get right to it.

One Last Transport To Catch Up.

This was a transport for a lovely pitty boy named Quincy, and two kittens. Unfortunately, since my camera is pretty much not working, I was only able to get this one very dark picture of Quincy. I'll share it anyway, and do my best not to have more pictures like this if at all possible.

Told Ya I Had A Lot!

Okay, here's the transport I drove the day before Halloween. More beautiful dogs (and blurry pictures dangit).
