Grand Re-Opening Giveaway!

Since I've been so absent, it's almost like I'm starting from the beginning again, so I'm going to do my giveaway with that theme in mind. The lovely ladies from piCture pOlish have generously allotted three polishes of the winner's choice to be given away on my blog (does not include the Ozotic polishes), so here goes!

As you may have noticed (if you're not reading in a reader), I've been doing some more changing around here, and I'll probably do even more as I go along. I welcome constructive criticism (and compliments too!) or ideas on how to improve things. I've changed my feed settings so that you can read the whole post in a reader, because I don't want to make people click to my blog if they don't want to. I'm not blogging for numbers or whatnot, just because I love polish, so it doesn't matter. It would be nice if I could do nothing but work on the blog all day, but that's not happening any time soon. Those darn chores never do themselves!

Quick Prize Post... Or, I WON!!!

You've Got Nail was running a contest last month, and I managed to be the international winner! All that was required was to tell the ladies from piCture pOlish why piCture pOlish lacquers would make your manicure picture perfect. Well, I guess I done good, because they chose my entry out of a bunch! Check out what I got in the mail!!! And I added my entry on there too. I thought it would be fun to use as many of their polish names as I could, and I guess they liked it. 

Now, I know, I've said before I'm not a pink gal, but I think I'm sort of converting. Not that I'm going to give up my flashy colors, but right now I am really REALLY glad that I chose Flirt. You see, the formula is frikkin' PERFECT, and this is a one coater. ONE coat for a pink? That's unpossible! Well, no, it isn't. If they all go on as well as this one, then piCture pOlish is going to turn into a Go-To lacquer for me! And hey, they didn't even pay me to say that. Disclaimer time - nobody could possibly pay me enough to be enthused over their product if I'm not enthused. In this case, I am enthused. A lot.

1. What is your holiday wish for your family?

I would really just like to see everybody healthy and happy. I want everybody to feel how much they are loved. 

2. What is your Christmas morning / Hanukkah Nightly tradition?

Well, right now it's waking everybody up super early to open presents. Hee. It varies depending on where we are, since we have different traditions with different sides of the family. 

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?

Ooh, um. Wow, it's tough, but I think it would have to be to have a horse of my own. Of course, it would have to come with a place to keep it and support it as well. Pretty decadent if you ask me!

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?

It's all about the thoughtfulness and the time spent with family. Singing Christmas carols, playing games, enjoying each other. 

5. What games did you play with your family growing up?

Our family played a lot of games, especially card games. I still love to play many of them, including Scrabble, Monopoly, Life, Whist, Spades, Pitch, Cribbage, and so many more. 

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?

Always having an apple, an orange, some mixed nuts, and candy in the stockings, with some smaller presents. 

7. Where would you go for a Christmas/Hanukkah-away-from-home trip?

For now, my away from home would be to go to my grandparents. If I have to go somewhere not with family for some reason, then I think I'd want to go to Vermont.

I've rambled before on doing a giveaway, and I think it's time I do. So I'll use my 300th post to announce my 30+ Followers Giveaway (even though I'm past that now). It's not huge, just some little stuff for now, but it's a start. And of course, I've got plans for a bit more to get added. We'll see what I come up with. So anyway, take a look at what you can win!
