Holidays Are Busy!

Time just flies right on by, doesn't it? You'd think that having just the two of us for the holidays would mean I'd have a lot more time to laze around and do blog posts, but that has not been the case this year. Well, some of that is because we had to replace our toilet (talk about excitement, haha) and catch up on some other stuff around here, and some is because we were just caught up in the fun of watching holiday movies all cuddled up together.

I have been working on editing pictures of the holiday manis I did, but today I'll be sharing a couple more Cult Nails polishes, as those are ready to show off. Two gorgeous colors, as they always are. Here's a peek.

In other news, well, there isn't really much news. We're still trying to work on some remodeling around here, but that's pretty slow going, and the rest is pretty much all the same stuff, so I won't bore you with excruciating detail on that. Let's just look at the polish, okay?

I Have A Green Thumb!

And with that green thumb, I have a bunch of other green fingers too! In other words, today's Cult polish is Deal With It! and I just adore it. Here's a quick peek at it.

I'm A Total Slacker

Yeah, I haven't been posting on the regular, but you're probably used to that from me by now. I'm not going to claim that I will suddenly be all posting every day, because chances are that I won't be, because I'm doing some more stuff around here and just not on my computer to edit pictures quite as much. Plus, I'm spending a bit more time reading as well, which takes up even more time. Still, I'm hoping I can get more motivated and figure out a good schedule.

Anyway, today I'm going to share with you yet another Cult Nails polish. Two of them, actually. I started with Nevermore, and then added Happy Ending over it, which was really a great name, because it totally was all happy making for me. But then I love me some glitter. Here's a sneak peek, of what it looks like with regular top coat and with matte top coat.

Charmed, I'm Sure.

As you may have figured out, I'm trying a couple really small changes lately, and I think I like the way it looks. For one, I'm adding a small picture before the jump, so you can decide if you want to see more pictures or not. And secondly, I'm putting all my chit chat before the jump as well. Mostly anyway. I'm hoping it will streamline the way the blog looks, and make it easier to check out just the colors you're interested in. Like today's color, which is the lovely Charming from, of course, Cult Nails.

As with all of their polishes, the formula on this is wonderful, and the color is gorgeous. I am seriously in love with these polishes, and if I had to choose one brand to wear forever based on how they apply, Cult polishes would be THE one, hands down. Yes, it's a bit pricier than some others, but in this case, you really get what you pay for. The only thing that would kinda suck would be not having every color ever - but a small business can't put out the volume of one of the big brand names.

Anyway, not much going on around here right now, unless I want to whine and complain about my first world problems, which I'm just not gonna do. Instead, I'll shut up, and let you get on with looking at a bunch of pictures of this lovely polish, or maybe just leave my blog because I've bored you to tears. Whichever. Regardless, I hope things are going well for you.

Pretty Pretty Princess

As I said, more Cult Nails polish for you. Today's polish is Princess, which is just lovely. Here's a quick peek at it.

As always I'm super impressed with the quality of these polishes. I have yet to find a bad bottle, and I've ordered every one she's put out. Not much else to say today, I'm kinda worn out after a somewhat busy day, and am hoping to get to bed early. So if you want to see a bunch of pics of Princess, hit up the jump.

Cult Nails Extravaganza!

Because Cult Nails recently released Behind Closed Doors, I decided to nab the untried Cult Nails polishes that I have around, and use them! So the next couple weeks will feature lots of Maria's polishes, which is awesome to me, because I seriously love everything they've sold. Even though it means I'll be eating real cheap for the next couple weeks, I totally got this collection (I'm pretty much on a No-Buy since I haven't gotten paid since July!). I told The Mate it could count as my Christmas present. Anyway, I may be missing out on all the holiday collections this year, but I was NOT gonna miss out on this one, I haven't missed a Cult collection yet! I'm super lucky that without my income we can still manage what we need, and a few wants as well.

So, no whining about money, that's not what this blog is about. Here's a small preview picture of Feeling Froggy!

I love this color quite a bit, it's a gorgeous shimmery green that makes me happy. It's also close to the color of our lawn, which of course is not going to be green much longer with winter coming along. We had our first bit of snow yesterday, but of course it's all melted. I'm looking forward to more. I hope it's not as mild as last year. Alright, you're probably not here to listen to me babble, so let's get to the pictures. Click away if you want to see more.

Oh, Hi There!

I'm back, and I have late Halloween pictures to share. Just my nails, not like costumes or anything. Heheh. Anyway, I only did a couple of Halloween manicures, because of everything going on lately around here. Nothing big, just been busy and so on. So, while I'm sitting here watching the election results, I thought I'd get this post in. Let's jump in and take a peek. that Obama has spoken, maybe I can try to get some sleep.

My Second Polish Day!

I love joining in on stuff like this, so I'm glad to be back for my second Polish Day! The theme this time around is "Sentimental", and while it was hard to choose, I did find a polish that I was super extra excited to get my hands on. It's got one of the best names ever, Unicorn Puke! It was also released under a different name, but I really wanted the special ones labeled Unicorn Puke, and I got #255 of 275. Woohoo! So why don't we jump on in and see what is so special about this polish, besides the name and rarity?

Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed!

Ahh yes, the "star" of the collection, for those of us who claim we don't care for neutral colors. I'm not sure I can claim that any more, since I've found several recently that I kinda like, a lot more than I would have expected. Especially all four in this collection.  So, I thought I'd be a little different, and I laid down some color as a base for this mani. Instead of just one color, I did some kinda random splotches, in hopes that it would look like seaweed what with this wonderful color over it. You'll have to tell me if I accomplished that. Ok? Let's take a look!

Gettin' Nekkid is FUN!

So we're on day four of the collection, and this is is Swanbourne. Once again I have to hurry up and post and then get moving on chores etc, I'm aiming to try and go fishing this weekend with The Mate, and I need to have my work done. So let's get right to it.

Getting Nekkid Some More!

So, day three on the whole Cult collection here, and today we get to see Tulum. I've got a whole lot of stuff to do, so I'll have to make this a quick one.

Yes, the second day of the Let's Get Nekkid Collection from Cult Nails. As with yesterday's, this is another light neutral color that I liked surprisingly well, considering that I always claimed to hate neutrals. I guess I will have to stop saying that now. So let's take a look at Baker.

No, I don't mean let's take all our clothes off or anything like that. I mean the Cult Nails Let's Get Nekkid! Collection. Which of course I bought as soon as possible when it was available. I'm sure this is no surprise to anybody who has been reading along, as I'm a huge fan of Maria and her polishes. And of course, this collection is no different, except that I would normally not have jumped on a collection with these colors. I'll tell you what though, I'm really glad I did! So, for the next five days, I will feature one of these lovely colors. Today, I'm starting with Mazo.

It's Day Twenty!

And the challenge for today was doing a water marble! Since I had my new Cult Nails colors handy, I used the "bad" Devious Nature (Deviant Nature muahaha), and Tied up. I mean, what better pair can YOU think of? Tee hee. Let's hurry up and take a peek.

Galaxy!

Welcome to day 19 of the challenge, galaxies! I kinda made this an extra layered mani, just going all out on adding all sorts of things that might make it look like a galaxy or five. Muahahaha! Let's jump right in and see what I did.

All I Got For Christmas...

Well, I say all, but it wasn't a ton of stuff. I can't sleep, so I thought I'd share my review of the Cult Nails base and top coats, which I used for the first time when I got Vicious from them back in September. I know, I know, I'm running way way behind on that, but as you may have noticed, life has been whompin' on me lately. It's all good though. Cult Nails Hypnotic Collection!

Another collection full of fabulosity from Maria at Cult Nails! Yeah, I know I'm behind a ways, but to do her polishes justice I can't just slop it on any old way. These polishes are high end, like when you save up to buy that fantastic sports car you've always dreamed of. Okay, so they aren't the most expensive of all, but they are special. And I'm not getting anything out of saying that other than knowing that I believe these to be high caliber polishes that deserve to be loved. If you know me, you'll know that I'm not going to sell out for nail polish, no matter how addicted I am. So let's take a look at these beauties!
