My Kingdom For A Title!

Er, well, since I have no kingdom, I suppose it would be more like, "My nonexistent dream of a kingdom for a title!" But yeah, I couldn't think of anything really creative or whatnot, so you're stuck with that one. Well, *I* am stuck with that one. You can probably block it out with a little post-it note over the monitor or something. Wow, I think I've been too long without sleep, and it's affecting me quite a bit. So why don't we see what I put on my nails, and I'll try to rein in my inane ramblings.

Saturday Simplicity

Today I have a very simple mani to share with you, one that is easy and kinda elegant, I think. I've gone with a white base color, and done a konad stamp of a bow on each finger in blue. Sometimes it's nice to do something that isn't a whole bunch of stuff, and is just a fairly quick and easy mani, yet still looks pretty nice, in my opinion. Let's take a peek.

Greens Are Great

After yellow, green is one of my favorite nail polish colors. Oh, who am I kidding? I pretty much just love them all. Even the so-called ugly colors can be fun. As I've said many times, I'm kinda obsessed, just a tiny bit. Anyway, I've got a couple greens to share today, so let's get to it.

Beautiful On Film

It's Monday again, which is kinda all the same to me, since I don't work in an office or anything like that. The days can tend to blur together when you 'work' 7 days a week. (If you don't know, my job is caretaker to The Mate, and it's an every day thing. And eventually I'll start getting paid for it again, but that's another whole thing that I'm not gonna get into here and now.) It's usually a pretty good thing, as there isn't any day of the week that feels like a yucky one to me, they are all pretty good in general. Although today, The Mate gets the little disks removed from his nose, so maybe it isn't an awesome day for him. We shall see how that goes.

So today I've got a layering combination to share with you, one that I think turned out really great. There's been a LOT of glitters released this year that are awesome for layering, and I've been trying to get the ones I can. Of course, no paychecks means very little polish, but hey, it's not like I don't have a good collection already. I did snag these in the spring though, and I'm sharing them today. Let's take a look.

Friday Flashback!

Seeing as how it's Friday again, I have a flashy flashback flakie manicure for you. If you've been reading for a while, you'll know I love me some glitter, but flakies are a close second for me. Along with holos and duochromes. Heheh. Oh who am I kidding, I pretty much love any polish, it's just that bling adds that little extra OOMPH for me. So anyway, let's go take a peek at a polish I've worn and loved in the past.

Sunday Swatches (Not Really)

Well, I haven't had much time for swatching lately, so I thought I'd share something else today. Instead I have a few bad pictures of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects strips that I wore for a few days. Let's get right to it, I've got a busy day tomorrow and need to get ready. What's going on, you ask? The Mate is having his nose rebroken so they can get his septum back where it is supposed to be. Yikes. It's a same day surgery, but still, I'm worried, and of course I'll be waiting right there to see that everything comes out okay. Anyway, let's move on to the pictures.

I'm A Joiner!

Today I'm joining in a new project, or blog hop, or whatever you want to call it. Polly Polish is keeping track of things that bloggers want to do in unison basically, and today everybody that is joining is doing a post with #PolishGeometry. Look there's even a cool badge!

So, you should totally go check out all the other folks who have joined in, because I'm pretty certain they have come up with something far more creative than I have! But, I'm not complaining, more like bragging that I'm in the company of so many awesome bloggers! Well, let's see what I managed to get on my nails.

Dude, I'm A Slacker!

Okay, not so much really, but I have been busy as heck what with the new pup and all the other things going on. Like, The Mate is getting a new power chair, so he'll be able to go place again! This is awesome, but meant I had to do some serious moving of things so he could use it in the house as well. And I'm not anywhere close to done with the things I need to get done around here, but you didn't come here to listen to me whine about that.

And I blew up my Greader, and am starting over so I can organize, so I will have to spend some time working on that too. So if I unfollowed you, it's not personal, and I'll be back! Possibly under my other gmail address, so that I can keep things organized, and maybe be able to comment on posts sooner. See, I sometimes wind up reading posts a week or more after they are posted, and I always feel strange about commenting so late, so I kinda don't do it, and then I feel bad that I'm not commenting on all your wonderful posts! Yucky spiral that is.

Of course, I also have lots of things I'd like to do with my blogs, and not nearly enough time to do them, which kinda sucks too. And editing pictures takes me quite a while, so I need to either get better at it or take less pictures. Yeah right, less pictures. That won't happen. I'd love to reorganize my Photobucket, but that would mean going back and correcting ALL my links, and I'm not sure I have the guts to try that. Too bad there isn't a way to automate that. And while I'm mentioning ambitions, I'd like to do some videos for my blogs, so that means a whole new set of things to learn, like how to edit them, and how to take decent ones. Not to mention get over how much I hate hearing myself talk. Haha.

So anyway, here I am with my first manicure of the year, three weeks later. If you're still reading, then jump on in and take a peek at what I did. I sure liked it.

Am I Blue?

Yes, yes I am blue. Gosh, but why would I be blue? Well, my kids have gone home, and I miss them terribly. Sure, I have more time to be online and spend with The Mate, but really? I'd rather be around my kids any day. Not that I don't love blogging and chatting online and such, but nothing compares to being close to my young'uns. So, today I'll show you a couple lovely blues.

Whoa, Time Flies!

Whether we're having fun, time really does fly around here. You'd think that staying home all the time would lead to lots of extra time, but we manage to fill it up quite easily with the things we do. First of all, there's a lot to do to take care of all the critters and give them the attention they need. The spare time I do have, I tend to use to read all sorts of things online, including a whole LOT of blogs. Because I can't just sit and read all day, I hardly ever have time to comment on all the great blogs out there, and that bums me out. I mean, everybody likes comments on their blog, and they'd probably like to know that one more person likes what they have to say. Anyway, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, because I'm not, just saying that we keep extra busy even without working outside the home. So, how about I get to it, and show off some more NOTD pictures.

One More Picture Post Before Bed.

Okay, I'm a little wired up, so I'll make one more post, then I'm crawling into bed with my Kindle and reading until I do get tired. I'm up to over a thousand books on that thing, so it'll keep me occupied for a while. The best part? Almost all of the books I've gotten have been free, because they are in the public domain, or were offered up for free for a limited time. The rest have all cost under $7, with most being in the $1-2 range. And I'll admit I'm hooked on the games that Amazon has too, though I've only got the free ones. I may spring for more later. But anyway, this is polish now. I'm rambly too. Go figure. So, click and check out some more November NOTDs.

I've been remiss recently at posting my manicures, because I've been pretty busy. And I have a bunch of other stuff to post as well. Anyway, I've got about a week's worth of pictures to share today, and I hope I can manage to get back up to date tomorrow.

Finishing off the first month

I'm still awake, even though I will be getting up early, so I thought I'd share the rest of the manicures I managed to do in January. We've had some awesome thunder and lightning here tonight, and apparently it's going to rain a lot in the next few days, so I suspect I'll have plenty of time to post. At least, I sort of hope so. So, let's get to the pictures.

Gobs of Greeens!

Green polish used to be rather "Out There", but it's getting more mainstream now. It's getting easier to find shades of green, even in lines of polish that are normally known as being more conservative. Well, today I am sharing pictures of some of the greens I have and love.

Yellow Nail Polish

You may have noticed that I love nail polish, so I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite colors. Yellow! I can't really explain why I like it so much, other than the fact that I think it looks pretty good on my fingertips. Maybe it's because it's cheerful. Maybe it's the way it stands out so brightly. I can't explain it, but it's pretty much my favorite color, and lucky for me, it's getting more common as a polish color.

Nail Polish; or My Pretty Nails

Anybody who gets to know me will find that I'm quite enamored of nail polish, and am willing to spend time nearly every day painting my nails, and making them look pretty. It's an indulgence that I wouldn't want to give up, as it's one thing that can look pretty, no matter how cruddy I look otherwise. My psoriasis is not attractive (yeah, duh), and affects everything. Because my skin is so sensitive, I have trouble with makeup. Because my scalp has so many spots, I have to try to cover bald patches, and my hair doesn't exactly style easily. Because it hurts to even move so often, I'm overweight, so fashion isn't really doable for the most part. But my nails, they can be pretty with just a little effort.
